INTRODUCTION
when I
first held a camera in my hands at the age of 15, I
knew I would not
part with the interest of capturing still images for the rest of my
life. Taking photographs for more than 20 years now, I have not taken
it up as a profession or as a money making tool. It is purely a
passion for the hobby and subject I'm capturing.
I’m always
fascinated by nature subjects and the ways they have evolved to
enable them to survive in the wild. In the beginning of 2003, I
started to get a little bit serious about Nature Photography. Boy!
Never did know it was going to be so tough....
In
Singapore, where I live, opportunities for taking pictures of wildlife
is difficult because we do not have a lot of land to spare for
wildlife habitat. Weather and natural lighting are also not always
ideal for nature photography. All these factors make it difficult to
capture successful images, but when the goal is achieved, the
satisfaction is beyond what words can describe. And nothing else seems
worth doing more.
There is
one single very important thing in nature photography that one has
always to remember when he or she is doing Nature photographing, and
that is ...
... the welfare of
the nature subject always comes first in the course of photographing.
This web
site has been created by myself to share with you the images that I
have captured. Most of the images are captured in their natural state
in Singapore, unless otherwise stated.
I'm
constantly learning more about nature and how to capture such images
in the best way. Please feel free to drop me a comment or two with
your views, experiences and recommendations - I want to improve on my
techniques and create even better results to share with you all.
